  1. The most interesting fact I learned from the salem witch trials is how ridiculous it was to say the average human was a witch and thus them being either testified or just plainly killed. It just makes no sense to me at all, there were no laws, no justice as to what we see in america today. If life were like it was during those times the population wouldn't be at least 7 billion, the death toll of america would rise very highly. By just knowing that anyone could walk by and accuse you of being a witch was just insanity. I would never do that, not even to the people I disliked. It was nowhere near fair or good enough to declare justice.

  3. The most interesting fact I learned about the salem witch trials was what they did to people and how the accused them. I did not like the fact that just because you didnt like someone or look at them wrong they are automatically say they were witches. I thought it was a good thing that once the trials were completely over they paid the people back that were accused but not hanged or pressed to death. It was very insane of how they accused people. It was not kind or very justice like.

  4. The most interesting fact about the salem witch trials would have to be how they just accused some one of being a witch. Also, that even if they weren't a witch they would be put to death.I think this is crazy.I feel this way because an inoccent person could be accused. What if someone didn't like you, and just told everyone you were a witch, you would just die most of the time. There was no justice at all. Even if I didn't like someone I would never do that to a person.

  5. The most interesting things that I learned is how harsh things were for some people. It was crazy how someone would blame another person of being a witch. I was surprised what people did to the "witches", how they would make them pay for being a witch and putting spells on people. People could say you were a witch and you would be punished without question. It was all a big mess living while this was going on.

  6. The most interesting fact I learned from reading about the Salem Witch Trials is how the authorities took what the two girls said about being tormented by witches so seriously. Also, it was very absurd that ordinary people who didn’t even do anything were accused of being a witch. People were killed and put in prison or had to testify just because someone didn’t like you and accused you of being a witch. I feel that it is unethical and unjustified. If I didn’t like someone, I wouldn’t wrongly accuse someone of something they didn’t do.

  7. The most interesting facts about the Salem Witch trials web quest is the fact that many innocent towns folk died from accusations of witchcraft. I noticed a sharp similarity between their judicial system to their own superstition, and ideals on reality. The action that happened and shocked me the most was how they can blame a four year old girl for something they haven't witnessed or something that actually happened. This seems to me that they themselves are playing god and are being false judges. Also when a person is tried for witchcraft they ask for confession or denial of the acts, and if the suspect confesses they are spared. It seems that they rigged a game that if you confess you live a coward, and if you deny you die. This game seems like a form of entertainment to the people of Salem, which also interacts with the will of god in their eyes.

  8. What I found most interesting while doing the Webquest for the Salem Witch trials was how they just accused people for practicing witchcraft. They had no idea, and no proof that somebody was doing it. They could just say that somebodys soul came out of their body and tormented them while they were sleeping, and they could have that person killed. How can you possibly prove that something like that happened while you were sleeping? Its just not possible. So I found that very interesting.

  9. The most interesting thing that I have learned about the webquest is that, witchcraft was very illegal back then. Now a days, studying witchcraft and all that is a religeon. Alot of people were being accused of witchcraft. Young people got accused of witchcraft and got the death sentance even though they did nothing wrong.I dont know how they could accuse a four year old girl of witchcraft when kids that young can barley read and write.

  10. The thing that I thought was the most interesting about the Salem witch trials was that all someone had to do was just say that you were a witch and you were dead. If someone actually went to trial it wasn’t a real trial anyway. You were pretty much convicted. It was interesting that once someone was accused that everybody believed that the accused was actually a witch. There was no investigation either. If I didn’t like my neighbors I just had to say they were witches and they would be killed.

  11. The most interesting thing I learned from the WebQuest is that anyone could easily be accused of being a witch. It did not matter who they were or how old they were. A person could be convicted of witchcraft with just one accusation. It is not fair for someone to accuse another just because they did not get along, which happened very frequently in the Salem witch trials. Just about no evidence was required for a person to be sentenced to death. Many innocent people lost their lives due to false accusations.

  12. I think the most interesting facts were the "witch tests." They seemed to be made by someone who was completely biased and didn't want anyone who was accused of witchcraft to survive. They were impossible to pass. I also thought it was very ironic that they were so loyal to God that they'd kill for him, although you'd think that they'd expect God to do it since he was so powerful. I think most people would question whether they reflected on if killing wasn't considered a sin since "they were doing it for Him."

  13. The thing I found most interesting about the web quest was the forms of torture and the witch tests. During the Salem witch trials they had ridiculous tests to decide if someone was a witch or not. For example they would tie a big rock to the accused witch's foot and throw her into the river, if she sank and drowned she wasn't a witch but if she floated she would be hanged for witch craft. In some cases they would tie the accused to a stake and light it on fire and if they burnt to death they weren't a witch but if they somehow lived they were a witch. They also had gruesome tortures for the "guilty." Most witches that were found guilty were sentenced to death by hanging, but others were killed more brutally. A few "witches" were sentenced to death by pressing where they would be tied down and have heavy rocks placed on top of them until they were literally crushed.

  14. I think the most interesting fact that I learned was that people back then were so manipulative and fearful to whatever the church, or some one who has a good reputation, say. It's been like that before, in fact, I don't think it ever stopped. Just look at the Spanish Inquisition, for example, many innocent people died because one person accused them for being a heretic. During the Salem Witch Trails, if you were suspected of witchcraft, by the church or just one person, you were put on trial and everyone thought you were a witch. Now a days, its very hard to get anyone to believe in anything anymore, even the whole 2012 thing died out, nobody talks about it anymore.

  15. The most interesting aspect of the WebQuest that we did in class was the wrongful prosecuting of supposed witches. This was a horrendous time for socializing with other people. I say that because if you even slightly ticked off another person, then they could accuse you of witchcraft and you would most likely be executed. Even if somebody was jealous of you, or disliked you, they could accuse you of being a witch and you would have a very slim chance of being acquitted. There were very painful and ethically wrong methods of getting rid of witches during this time period, and I am glad that the world is not like this today.

  16. What i found most interesting was that they accused people just because they were different. They chose people that were different and weird. You shouldn't just accuse someone because they have a different personality. Its just not right at all. They should of found hard facts to prove was guilty of witchcraft, not just random people.

  17. When I first started reading about the Salem Witch trials, I didn’t know much about them. After reading, I found many things very interesting. As I read about the first three girls that were claiming to be witches, I thought of them as crying out for attention. I thought it was crazy how they were accusing others but had no real facts to back up the accusations. Everyone just starting accusing everyone and brought about hysteria throughout the town. I read a lot about Martha Corey and how she was accused and killed along with her husband. There was no concrete evidence that backed up any of the accusations against her or her husband. They killed her husband by throwing stones on him until he told the truth but he wasn’t lying so he had so many stones thrown on him that he eventually died.

  18. The most interesting thing about the Salem witch trials was that average women could be accused of being witches and the really aren't it just seems that way. This was a terrible time period to be social with people because if you made someone angry then they could accuse you of being a witch. There was many things that I read about with the Salem witch trials. One story was the man that got accused and they stoned him to death. The way they found out if you were a witch or was putting stones on your feet and throwing you into the water. If you floated you were a witch if you sunk then you weren't a witch. I'm so glad the worlds not like this today.

  19. I thought that the most interesting part of the webquest was how easily people could be accused of being a witch. If you didn't like someone, you could be accused of being a witch.I thought it was ridiculous that people actually believed that other people were witches. I think it was very unusual that they would execute dogs and people because they were "witches". It just shows how much times have changed.

  20. The most interesting part of the Salem witch trials was when people accused others of witchcraft. When accused you couldn't even really defend yourself. Most people accused got hung and murdered. Around that time there was the time era of guilty until proven so.

  22. The most interesting thing I learned from the webquest was how many people died during the trials. For some reason I thought there was more than that. I didn't realize only 20 people died in all. I thought maybe 50-100 people died. It was interesting because therewere a lot less people than I thought who died.
