I think that John and Elizabeth Proctor have a really weird relationship. The reason i believe this is because John and Abby had an affair. Affairs always ruin a relationship no matter how much you love one another. Its a sign of disrespect and makes the other person lose all respect for you. When John says "Oh, Elizabeth, your justice would freeze beer!" John is saying that she is cold blooded and doesnt trust him because he had done stuff with Abby.

I believe that John and Elizabeth are not truely in love. They show no lovey dovey emotions towards eachother what so ever. They only argue and create problems for eachother when they're near one another. And now that she knows he cheated on her it's even worse. I can't even believe that Elizabeth even tolerated the fact that her husband cheated on her. In my opinion they shouldn't be together anymore.

I feel that this couple has a very weird relationship. I think at one time they use to be in love, but it is slowly fading away. I feel this was because if you love someone you wouldn't cheat on them. Cheating will ruin a relationship. John Proctor had an affair with Abigail. When they are with each other they seem to always argue. Oh, Elizabeth, your justice would freeze beer!" John is saying that Elizabeth is cold hearted. She won't trust him anymore because of what he did with Abigail.

In my own opinion, I see John and Elizabeth's relationship not as true love. I believe that at one point that they might have loved eachother but now I think that they're relationship is just getting worse. Elizabeth does not trust John and you can't be in love if you don't have trust. Ever since John had an affair with Abigail, Elizabeth hasn't had the same trust for him anymore. They always seem to argue and they don't seem as happy as they may have once been in their marriage. When John says "Oh, Elizabeth, your justice would freeze beer!" He is saying that Elizabeth doesn't have a heart and doesn't trust him.

I think that John and Elizabeth Proctor aren't in love anymore. Since Elizabeth found out about John and Abigail's affair, she doesn't trust him anymore. Elizabeth said "John, if it were not Abigail that you must go to hurt, would you falter now? I think not". She is saying that if it wasn't for Abigail, John would want to stay with her. This shows that Elizabeth isn't going to get over the fact that John cheated on her with Abigail. John and Elizabeth don't have a strong relationship. I believe that John really does like Abigail, but he feels guilty about the age difference and that he cheated on his wife with her.

Elizabeth Proctor and John are not the most typical husband and wife. The both of them have very different personalities. John was sneaking around and had an affair with a young girl Abigail wich can show distrust in their marrige. Elizabeth knows what happened and is loosing her feelings for him. John has confessed his affair with Abigail and Elizabeth states "John,if it were not Abigail that you must go to hurt, would you falter now? I think not". Elizabeth has not forgiven him because a child has interfeared.

I think John proctor and elizebeth proctor have a weird relationship. i think this because elizebeth know that john had an affair on her with abigail williams. John even confessed about his affair.Ever since their affair, they havent been getting along that well. so this is why i think their relationship is weird.

I think that John and Elizabeth aren't in love anymore. Elizabeth found out about John and abigails affair, she does not trust him anymore. Elizabeth said "John, if it were not Abigail that you must go to hurt, would you falter now? I think not". Elizabeth is basically saying if it wasn't for abigail John would want to stay with her. Elizabeth doesn't trust him anymore and will not be able to let it go. They dont have a strong relationship anymore.

John and Elizabeth are in a failing relationship. They both seem to be uncomfortable around eachother. I believe, for a time atleast, they did love eachother, but now it seems they don't. Like when John was testing how the food tasted in the pot, then when he heard Elizabeth coming he quickly put it away as if he didn't want her to know he was doing it. When john says "Oh, Elizabeth, your justice would freeze beer!" he means that she is being cruel to him and not giving him a fare chance.

I do not think that John and Abigail love one another. I think that Abigail loves him, but he does not love her back. I believe this because she is way to young for him, and if he did love her, he would be with her rather than his wife.

My opinion on John and Elizabeth proctors relationship is that they do love each other. John made a mistake and he knows it. He doesn't want anything to do with Abigail anymore. He does live Elizabeth, though their marriage is struggling. John says "I have forgot Abigail" (pg. 852). He's saying that he has moved on and he also wishes Elizabeth does too. He would like to make everything better
ReplyDeleteJohn and Elizabeth love each other, but Elizabeth doesn't trust him anymore. She has a good reason not to but maybe John is really sorry for what's he has done with Abigail, but until Elizabeth believes it hes going to constantly get blamed for still having an affair with her. I think John is truly sorry because of all the times Abigail has tried anything with him he has refused and pushed her away, he deserves a second chance. "Oh, Elizabeth, your justice would freeze beer!" This means he thinks she should stop being cold hearted and give him another chance to prove himself and that's exactly what Elizabeth should do.

John Proctor and Elizabeth Proctor's relationship has changed dramatically during act two. In the past John had an affair with Abigail Williams and Elizabeth has found out. I believe that John needs to explain himself to Elizabeth in anyway strongly possible to show that his feelings for Abigail have passed. The idea that John Proctor is telling the truth and that Elizabeth has trust issues show that John is in a situation he wished he'd never got himself into. An example of the strictness Elizabeth has over John would be when John states to Elizabeth "Oh, Elizabeth, your justice would freeze beer!" This quote shows the overpowering justices in which Elizabeth has on the past and the use of overpowering assumption in which she uses on the present.
ReplyDeleteI feel that John and Elizabeth's relationship towards one another is not true. They are not in love with each other anymore. Both of them do not seem comfortable around each other. Also when John says "Oh, Elizabeth, your justice would freeze beer!" He is saying the she cannot trust him with anything anymore. I also feel that they are afraid to talk to each other because Elizabeth does not want to know the real truth about John and Abigail.

John and Elizebeth might have been in love at one time. Right now they dont treat eachother as if they love oneanother. John had an affair with Abigail, thats down right disrespectful. Once a cheater always a cheater he will do it again he's for sure no longer in love with Elizebeth "I have forgot Abigail"(pg. 852. You never change once your a cheater no matter how much John apoligizes she should not go back with him once your marrided and say the traditional vouls such as death do us part you have commited yourself to one person till your death and even after. All in all I fell yes at one time they loved eachother but not anymore

I believe that John and Elizabeth Proctor do love each other. However, since John's affair with Abigail, Elizabeth is not able to trust him anymore. Their relationship has become very distant since this incident. John shows that he feels Elizabeth will never forgive him and that she will never get over his mistake when he says, "Oh Elizabeth, your justice would freeze beer”. In order for their marriage to work I think John needs to prove himself and stay away from Abigail.

I think that John and Elizebeth have a really different relationship then other married couples. They hate each other at times then at others they love each other. I think that Abigail made it so that its a odd marriage. There is parts in there where John says things to Elizebeth that means that she doesn't love him or trust him since the affair with abby. "Oh, Elizabeth, your justice would freeze beer!" Thats the quote that means that Elizebeth doesn't love him or trust him. I just think that it is not true love all because of abigail.

I belive that john and elizibeth 's relationship twards one another is poor. The reason that i think this is because john had an affair with abigale. Also when john entered the house in one scene elezibeth was basically puting him on trial. Also elezibeth is basically saying that she cant trust him any more. Finaly the relationship is very weak and lots of tention.
ReplyDeletechris strouse
I think the Proctors do love each other. They are just both hurt by the affair John had with Abigail. Elizabeth is still trying to trust him, so she is cold towards him. John wants to earn her trust back too. "My wife will not die for me" John says when she is taken away. Theyw ill always love each other, they are just in a awkward time.

John Proctor and Abigail Williams have a very unique relationship in the aspect of how you define love. I feel that they both truly care for each other but they can not show it because of the culture they were raised in and the colony they are a part of. When john says, "Oh, Elizabeth, your justice would freeze beer!" he is tlaking about how she wont let go of the past and still thinks that John has feelings for Abigail. I agree with Elizabeth, and feel that if it were not for their Puritan values, they would be together.
ReplyDeleteMy opinion of the relationship between John and Elizabeth Proctor is that they are a good couple. They know all about each other and are honest. Although their relationship is complicated they work through it and are now loyal to each other. I also think that they lost some of their love along the way. When Elizabeth said that “Justice would freeze beer,” John believed that she is cold hearted. In addition, she lost some trust from him, but wants to be a good Christian and stay dedicated to her husband.
ReplyDeleteThe relationship between Elizabeth and John proctor is still strong. Even though they are going through a tough time with John cheating on her with Abigail he is forgetting her and moving on with his family. As on page 852 "I have forgot Abigail" . He tells his wife that there is no more cheating and seeing Abigail. Elizabeth's and johns love is still there. They are saving their marriage before its too late and that is most important.
ReplyDeleteMy opinion is that, yes indeed they do love eachother. Even though John cheated on her, he still trys hard to get her respect. What shows me that they do love each other is, the fact that Elizabeth doesnt tell the truth that John cheated on her, instead she just lies and thats her punishment. She didnt want Johns name to be put down in the dirt. Also with John he trys vary hard to prove that Elizabeth is not guilty. He would even go to jail for her, that truely shows that he loves her.

I believe that John and Elizabeth have a complicated relationship. I believe Elizabeth is still in love with John, only because she defended him in court when it came to Abigail. But I also think in a way she believes he deserves this for being a sneaky liar. As for John, I feel he loves Elizabeth, but isn't in love with her anymore. He obviously loves her because he didn't want her to die, and he stood up for her in court. He went againt all of the accusations pressed on her. In a way I think he feels guilty, and stuck with her. I think their spark may have died long before Abigail even came into the picture.
