  2. He means to say that we, as a country, are seeking peace. He is saying that freedom is peace, and we want freedom. Yes, I agree with him, he seems to have a good understanding of the world. 3. He means that when we have peace, we'll truly have freedom, and that's every American's dream. I don't agree because many people's opinion of peace is distorted in different ways. One person could want freedom and mean that they want the freedom to go wild. Another could want freedom meaning they want to be happy and content with the way they chose for their life to be... peaceful. I think peace is being content. There's nothing to argue about, nothing to be discontent with, and no tension. To me, peace is happiness.

  4. I think that he means if you find peace that you will also find freedom. It could mean that peace goes along with freedom.I do agree with him because peace and freedom go together. If you have no peace, then you have no freedom. It someone controls you then you don't have peace or freedom. My definition of peace would be happiness and when you have control over your own life.

  5. I believe Eisenhower meant that when we have peace we have freedom. The amount of peace we have with ourselves and those around us determine our level of freedom. I do agree with Eisenhower. However, peace means something different to everyone. My definition of peace would be contentment with your current situation.

  6. I think that Eisenhower is trying to state that peace and freedom come hand and hand. If you are truly at peace with yourself then you shall be/feel free. Being at peace is important cause you will finally get the freedom that you seek for. I agree with Eisenhower, I think he has a good outlook on the world and life in general. Also to know that peace is a very strong importance to people. My definition of peace is a healthy, loving, and clam place when people don’t feel the need that they have to be on top.

  8. I feel that Eisenhower is attempting to say that peace and freedom are essential of one another. If you are at peace with the world then you will have freedom within your peers and your mind. I agree with the approach that Eisenhower has towards this topic because he was an intelligent man and this quote makes sense to me. I define peace as being hapy with yourself, your surroundings, and your life. When you are at peace with all those things, then you can be free of worries and live your life.

  9. I think the quote means that we seek peace because once peace is reached, then you know you have true freedom. I do agree with this statement because when everyone is experiencing peace, then there is no reason to fight or steal or bully. With none of the bad things happening in the world, people won't have to care about what others think and will be free to do what they want peacefully. My definition of peace is the mindset of a person when they feel happy with themselves and are fufilled with life. No one fights or steals or argues because they are completely happy with what they have and take things as they come without blaming others.

  10. Eisenhower, in this statement is saying that peace and freedom are similar to each other. Peace is a very important part of life. Not having peace with yourself and others might make you have a lot running through your mind all of the time. I strongly agree with Eisenhower because if you have peace with everyone, including yourself than you should definitely have no reasons not to have all of the freedom you want. If you have peace than you shouldn't have a worry in the world and shouldn't care what others think. I like to imagine the world full of peace. It makes me think of how much happier I would see many people. It would be a stress-free life and a lot of freedom!

  11. In Eisenhower's quote he is stating that in order to obtain peace we all need to experience a life of complete freedoms. He is notifying the people that in order to have a great freedom you must include peace, in order to have peace you must include freedoms. I agree fully with what Eisenhower said for the fact that peace and freedom are similar and to complete the pursuit of happiness we need both. I believe that peace is a love and respect that should be with everyone as if they were a family or be cooperative no matter what race, religion, language, and political party. All people should respect thy neighbor.

  13. I think that this quote by Eisenhower encourages peace. It means that everybody wants peace, and if there’s no peace there’s no freedom and vice versa. I side with Eisenhower’s quote because he was very intelligent. I agree that peace and freedom go in unison and the fact that it’s what everyone wants, but every individual has their own opinion of what peace really is. When I think of the word peace, I think about calmness, serenity, and no violence.

  14. When Dwight Eisenhower says, “We seek peace, knowing that peace is the climate of freedom.” I think he means that in seeking peace, you find freedom. To have freedom, everyone needs to be equal and getting along. If there isn’t peace among everyone in a community, not everyone will have freedom. I agree with what Eisenhower is saying, peace is an important thing to have in a society. Without peace things would be bad. My definition of peace is that everyone is happy and satisfied with life.

  16. To me peace is when you are comfortable with everything that surrounds you.
Being happy with yourself will help you accomplish the internal peace that Elsenhower was talking about. The freedom to express yourself with just any situation no matter how others my see you, you will have that internal peace that will lead you to have your own freedom. I agree with this statemen just because it's a every true one.

  20. I think Eisenhower meant that if there is freedom in a place, there must be a feeling of peace around everyone. Once that freedom is taken away people begin to feel trapped and because of that they will act out against whatever is trying to hold them back.

I do agree with Eisenhower completely, I think it is hard to find peace without somewhat of freedom.

To me peace is where people of all different personalities can live and interact with each other without any friction. The surroundings of this place would be very relaxed and calm place without stress and worries.

  21. Eisenhower means that when we have peace, we'll truly have freedom, and that's every American's right. I don't really agree because many people's opinions of what peace is are different. One person could want freedom and mean that they want the freedom to do bad things, illegal things. Another could want freedom meaning they want to be happy and content with the way they chose for their life and to be peaceful. I think peace is being satisfied with the way things are. 22. Eisenhower is saying that the only reason why people have dictators or a very small freedom society is because of tention of war. If everyone were to be at peace with each other and to have no worrys of a uprising there would be no reason to have so many restrictions. There for giving you your freedom. I agree on what he means by this quote. Dictators are scared of losing their power as well as any other society. So if they have no worries then they should give you freedom. Peace to me is being able to walk down and become lost in the scariest darkest streets of the meanest city and not care. Peace is when theres no one trying to fight you in school. Where on the news you actually hear about the guy who saved a life and not about the guy who took one. Peace is when everyone is happy.

  23. I think he means that peace is a big factor in being free. We need peace or we will never truly be free in life, or with ourselves. I agree because without a inner peace, you can never be really happy. Showing peace towards others fullfills a persons ambitions in life, making freedom. My definition of peace is to be one with the people around you, the world you lvie in, and yourself.

  24. I think that Eisenhower is trying to say that if we have peace then freedom will follow. Yes I agree with him because in hard times like in The Crucible, if people are peaceful, then freedom that others won't accuse you of being a witch will follow. I feel that the definition of peace is any group of people getting along and not betraying each other. Another definition of peace I believe in is one can come to peace with themself. For example when John Proctor accepts that he wants to die for what he believes in, rather that what people want him to believe.

  30. As peace being the climate of freedom it also means the highest point in happiness or the highest point in tranquility. No I do not agree, I have been in points of time whereas peace wasn't my complete and highest point in happiness. Other things can cause happiness besides peace and sometimes it's either easier or just a faster way.

  31. I think he means that if have peace, you have also have freedom. I dont agree with him, some countries that do not have freedom dont have peace, or vice versa. Some rulers and governments have a lot of rules, and that keeps peace throughout there country. My definition of peace is where no one is fighting. Also where everyone gets along with eachother. Or even if you odnt talk to one another. That can be peace.
